  18. I was wondering if anyone can help me, I am
  19. trying to dial out to a TAP port, which asks for
  20. ID, number, then message, I want to write a
  21. script to do this. First I am trying manually.

  23. First of all I have installed Kermit, and went
  24. into Kermit.

  26. I then set the modem type = Motorola-codex, set
  27. line, set parity=none, set the flow control.  I
  28. then did DIAL and the number.  It connects fine,
  29. but then dotted line appear, and characters which
  30. you cannot read, it's not displaying what is
  31. being sent back, then it all freezes, it does not
  32. recognise anything you type on the keyboard,
  33.  
  34. You have to switch the machine off. and restart,
  35. Can anyone help me,
